August 06 Farm Stand
It's tomato season! They're coming in fast and furious in all sorts of shapes and colors. I can't wait to make my first caprese salad of the season (fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, basil, drizzle of olive oil, salt, pepper).
Here's the full list we'll have this Saturday, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. in Blawnox.
Tomatoes (red cherry, yellow pear, yellow slicers, pink heirlooms)
Zucchini
Crookneck Squash
Greens (Kale, Bok Choy, Swiss Chard)
Lettuce
Groundcherries (these are the tastiest little things ever)
Red potatoes
Golden Purslane (High in Omega 3s, great in salads)
Potted basil (awesome for the window sill)
Garlic (best dang garlic you've ever eaten)
Onions
Eggs
Handmade charcoal
